Whenever a customer purchases any product on Amazon they are invited to leave a review on the seller as well as the product itself although few take the time to do one let alone both of these. The product reviews are visible on every listing on Amazon and they can have a big impact on sales of the product.
Imagine you are a customer looking at two products on Amazon, you need to purchase one but cannot decide which one to choose, they both have all the features you need and they are similarly priced. Now imagine one of those has loads of 5 star reviews but the other has an average review of 3 stars. Which one are you more likely to purchase? Amazon customers rely on the experience of previous buyers to guide their purchasing decisions.
The product reviews are an important consideration when purchasing a product to sell on Amazon. If the product has lots of recent negative reviews you may want to think twice. If the trend continues shoppers will be increasingly put off from buying the item, not a great time for you to stock up!

This review has become a bit of an internet legend; the shirt now has over 3,000 reviews and is ranked in the top 15,000 bestsellers in clothing on Amazon.com. Quite a remarkable achievement! Sales for the shirt went up over 2,000% after the review went viral.
The banana slicer is a kitchen gadget that nobody actually needs but after this review went viral they are widely recognised and if their sales rank is anything to go by they are doing pretty well in terms of sales!
The horse head mask has become an internet sensation prompting a host of funny reviews. It’s another product that nobody really needs but with over 2,500 reviews on Amazon.com it seems to be doing remarkably well.
If you’re very lucky customer reviews might give other people ideas on how to use your product and they won’t be able to resist buying immediately!
If you read the serious reviews for this product you’ll find that they are generally negative and claim the product is poor quality and overpriced. But these funny reviews seem to be carrying the sales and people are still happy to spend money on the product.
There are so many examples of funny Amazon reviews and they’re certainly entertaining but it’s important to remember that reviews can really make a difference to your sales. Having positive reviews reassures buyers that they are making a good decision. Always have a look at the reviews on a product you are thinking of stocking yourself and have a think about whether you would buy it based on the reviews. If the answer is no, you might want to rethink the purchase.
